Brendan Cowell
Popular Aussie actor of film and TV, Brendan is currently onstage in Melbourne as Hamlet in the Bell Shakespeare production.
Brendan is also a highly regarded writer, producer and director. He's been writing for stage and screen since his first play 'Men' was performed Sydney in 2000. 'Men' was a hit with reviewers and audiences, and also played in Melbourne, Edinburgh and New York. More critically acclaimed and popular plays followed, along with numerous awards, including awards for his short film Europe.
Brendan was a hit on the small screen too, through writing and starring roles in the SBS series Life Support and Foxtel’s Love My Way. In 2007 Brendan was the director of Wharf 2Loud at the Sydney Theatre Company where he directed, acted, wrote and worked with Australian playwrights, developing their work towards production.
Success on the big screen was next, with his starring role in last year’s critically acclaimed Noise. He wrote and stars in Ten Empty, which is currently showing at cinemas.
